I've just had a thought reading another thread and can't make up my mind if it's a thick question or not so i'll ask here anyways

Why can't electric cars have an alternator? I know it wouldn't be the same as in a petrol engine but you get watches that charge themselves up with movement, would you be able to apply that to something as big as a car? So that it charges it's self up?

basically you can never create an equal or more electricity made than is used. e.g the old energy is never lost just changed. there is such thing as regenerative braking though as used in the curves system in F1

too late. also got drill swarf from the oil soak granuals.

i would use the silicon to be safe. not sure if polyurethane would stand the heat

What's the best way of making sure my car is level?

This whole town is built on slopes and I know my driveway slopes downward toward the garage door. I was changing the gearbox oil but had to jack up the front end to do it so how the hell are you supposed to keep it level
