One of my biggest gripes about motorbikes. Oh yes they have a dip stick or oil level window but many bikes dont have a centre stand so how the ***k do you check the oil level. At least car engines have the dipstick into the middle of the sump where the level hardly changes. Gearboxes? - not quite so handy

What do you mean? On my mums auto you just take your foot off the brake but it doesnt roll back then you just accelerate

its got practice to still use handbrake and lower it as you pull off, but most auto drivers never use a handbrake especially now with hill holders also being fitted

So sort of the same as manual, but without finding the biting point first just give it an adequate amount of gas for the gradient and then release the handbrake? Seems simple enough ...

yes most modern autos wont never roll back even on tick over, but its better driving to use handbrake just to be safer
