General Somewhere to check when cleaning

Had a look under the wheel arch liner today when doing a few bit found the driver's side packed full of mud/silt

How does it get there? I thought the flap that extends down from the wheel arch cover would prevent muck getting in there.

On mine there's nothing below the bottom of the sill the wheel arche liner finishes at the fold on the sill/joint with the under carriage

Sorry, my mistake. Still don't see how it gets there. From wheel spray or from windscreen drainage?

Probably both..

Main screen run off should of course be ducted through the scuttle drains..

But the crud around the bonnet hinges will work its way down..

IIRC the same problem was reported for Stilos a while back. Odd, because the wheel arch liners on both models are a pretty good fit at the base.

Water from the edge of the windscreen appeares to drain behind the arch liners
