Bottom line tho negotiator is,............ Do you think he should get a ticket? Cos much as id like to say no he dont, i feel he got his just desserts unfortunately!!:(

maybe but the line wasnt full which according to a lot of the posts on here mean he has a right to question it  if he is proved wrong then he'll pay up :)

But it's a bit odd parking there knowing you are parking illegally but may get off on a technicality...kind of like doing a crime you know you won't be caught for.

'ffs' Stilochris, find me a post anywhere ever on any forum I post on, a soundbite in any conversation I have had or any sentence in anything I have ever written when I say:

"there's no difference btween illegal parking and murder"

Re-read what you have quoted and don't make up something I have not said.

Of course there is a difference, does not mean that one is OK and the other is not...

I'm kinda with you on this one Paul... if you've been caught for a crime no matter how petty it is you should accept you were wrong and take the punishment.

no need to shout.. lol

i didnt say u said they were the same but as you said, 'a crime is a crime' which implies that they are as bad.

i just think that parking badly 15mins before the parking restrictions are lifted is a pretty victimless crime, imo.

sometimes the stuff you post comes across as very self-righteous, also you make a lot of sense sometimes. (but only sometimes...):)

Isn't murder a crime (i.e. a criminal offence), but illegal parking is a civil offence, rather than a crime? :p

So if me mum says be back by 2200 and I'm late, by that description I've commited a criminal offence.

Whatever you say or may think there are different levels of crime and parking on a yellow "illegally" doesn't make someone a criminal.

No, why don't you read what you quoted? I.e. my post.

And yes, parking illegally (hence breaking the law) makes you a criminal. I have never in my life said that all crimes are equal...don't be absurd or put words into my mouth.
