Hi guys, im looking for some advice. Ive a got a wee 2001 Seicento. The steering is heavy, but only when turning right. Now ive had a garage put diagnostic on it, as they informed me it may be possible to re calibrate it, but it was not possible. The steering malfunction warning light comes on with the ignition and goes off shortly after starting, as i believe it should. So the bulb hasnt been removed! Lol. So the garage have said it need the column replaced. Fair enough. So i should be able to do that myself, but i would appreciate a bit of a how to, so i dont make a pigs ear of it. If any one can offer advice please? Ive got a fair idea, just wanna be aware of any common niggles i might experience along the way.
Also, will it need to be coded in with diagnostic after, or anything like that? Or is it just a case of a straight swap? Many thank in advance!!

Ive also checked relays and fuses for correct seating, corrosion on terminal ect. All seem ok.
