Rear lights arrived today finally i can take a hammer to the chav ones! (or sell them on ebay and make 3 times as much as i paid for the standard rear lights)

hopefully in the next 20 minutes or so, i'll also have an HID kit, and by tomorrow, an in dash dvd player and digital tv setup to add to the Calibra list

hold on to your sunspecs just now, theres been a delay, i need a set of screws and bulb holders these chav lights are attatched in a completley different way to standard lights, they have their own buit in studs and also have a seperate wiring harness, so the holders in them can't be used on the standard lights and i have nothing to attach the lights to the car with atm

these lights are taunting me, it's been delay after delay in getting rid of the buggers so far

what's the story with the bravo? wasn't it Monday they said it would be ready by?

as for the bravo funny story that

was getting all my documents ready on the sunday night to pick it up on the monday night
but a problem occured couldnt find my v5 for the mr2 so was hunting high and low for it as i am sure ive got it somewhere but couldnt find it so i gave the dvla a call monday and said ive lost my v5 and could i have a duplicate so the bloke takes all my details and then tells me that ...

remember ive had the mr2 5 months now

that its still processing in the system and that is still waiting to be sent out bloody great i was thinking i had lost the bloody thing but the dvla has never sent it out to me so thats the second problem ive had with the dvla in my last 2 cars the other was the astra i have got a spare v5 for the astra so could claim its still mine and been stolen

so for the bravo i have to wait on the v5 coming through before i can get it great when ive put a huge chunk of cash towards it £3500 worth and i have a payment coming out on the mr2 tomorrow so im gona have to get all the settlement crap done again

haha, quality comedy moment, looking for something that isnt there, couldnt script **** like that lol,
but it fairly shows the DVLA in their true light yet again, they dont have a bloody clue imo.

not good about the DVLA, can't believe it's taken them that long!, i got the v5 for the calibra 2 and a half weeks ago now, and that was delayed because of the registration plate transfer. it's completely random how they are done i think, i remeber when i had the focus it took about 3 months to come through. i still havent got the v5 for the cinq come to think of it....

maybe with the mr2 its something to do with it being bought at arnolds, they probably send alot away at once and they are done in a batch...5 months is shocking though

i take it they were as useful as ever and didn't give an idea of when it should be with you?

DVLA really dont have a scooby!

HGT took AGES to get the v5 for...doesn't fill me with confidence, sending away my license to (finally) get the address changed

as for the v5 i thought i had it as i had seen it around but it was just the second page i have so was looking for that even though i have already seen it lying around

We are now de-chavved

i do however now have a dashboard lit up like a christmas tree with bulb failure warnings and only one sidelight working on the drivers side rear. the second sidelight operates as a brake light. problem traced to the fact i have to use the chav lights wiring harness until the bulb holders arrive, and the brake lights earth wire changes how it operates depending how far its pushed into the bulb socket. the build quality of that lexarse chav tat is unreal! they fell apart when they came off...mind you, it did take me 3 hours to change them

all problems should be sorted when the proper wiring can be used

not much new here either, been too snowy to do anything!

Standard rear lights are on, but the drivers side one has leaked since day 1 and the whole car smells like theres a dead cat in the boot because of it, also i have numerous electrical problems at the back, a broken earth wire in the loom somewhere, cant be bothered fixing it for now, i'll probably put it in somewhere to get sorted properly among a few other major electrical mods im planning

Exterior wise, first up, it needs a wash and some back to black applied!, second up, we're going back to vauxhall badges front back and mudflaps, third up, yellow dtm badges wiill go on and the chrome irmscher ones will go, 4th up clear side repeaters, 5th up, brake caliper paint!

Mechanical/suspension/exhaust, im doing feck all to it barring maybe an exhaust system. its already lowered and on shortened shocks which totally tansforms the handling over standard

anyway, this is how it will look next year (2011) or whenever the snow decides to give us a wee rest, whichevers sooner

Ok, wee update, car now waterproof since another d/s rear light was fitted and vx decided they had the correct bolts in stock afterall

electrics improved slightly, but still have an erratic brakelight

stereo arrived today, as did my hid kit

away to get some tuneage wired up first, liteage will follow tomorrow
