Project Cinq!

nah mate not been back there really with enough time... ill have to work my arse off in order to get these rear arms and stuff off for sat... will have to be night time when i come up mate.

little update, finally gave it a wash :p

sorted out an erratic headlight issue and changed the bulbs over to nightbreakers, i actually have some light on the road now

still waiting on the exhaust spacer gaskets coming, so replaced the front bolt of the manifold flange and sealed over with exhaust paste just to help for now, whilst under there i found the bottom coolant hose on the rad was leaking, thats been sorted now too.

also tidied up the breather with a filter for now

expect more updates this week ;)

it was dark when i finished so havent taken any, there will be later in the week though when i've finished with the tweaks ;)

im sure if abyss has drove past he can confirm its now a red cinq with white wheels rather than a brown cinq with brown and grey wheels :p

hopefully gaskets arrive early tomorrow so i can fit then go and get a few little parts for the next planned tweaks :)

strange incident today, flashed my headlights to let a bus out and the engine cut out lol, started again first time on 3 cylinders, quick blip of the throttle and it was back on 4. strange. has to be an earth issue tbh

other answer? dont let busses out :p

i wonder if my alternator light sometimes not going out after starting until i blip the throttle is connected? alternator is working fine, all been checked and the charge rate is solid even with everything running. it's always done this with the alt light.

so far we have all that and more in the garage now :D

compressor
pressure washer
lights
music
angle grinder
and other misc :)

everything needed for destroying and rebuilding a car :D

well....exhaust sorted, bumper now meshed,

want proof this car is cursed? firstly the damn bumper suddenly refused to go back on then at the exact same spot the driveshaft went.....

the timing belt snapped.

**** off :(

full autopsy hopefully at somepoint tomorrow. belt was fairly new, tensioned correctly.

there was suddenly a whine at idle when curing the exhaust paste that died away in 5 seconds, car wasn't 100% happy either at idle but sorted itself.

Well at least you don't have to hold the throttle open at about 2500RPM just after starting....
If I don't kick the engine into life it'll just stall itself....
Going back to the Car Doctor on Thursday for more tests to be carried out on it.
Hopefully it'll get a clean 'Bill' of health & I'll pick up 1 hell of a bill...
Oh & that's after I lighten my account by £85 for 2 new budget Tyres on Monday.
