Killed the discussion there though when you see how good Ms Long's plain old black Panda looks all polished up:yum:

Sort of, if you're only interested in photos. You can't see the met effect in a photo and of course that was a photo of the Panda in the foreground - from the other angle the Abarth looked better! Suffice to say this was a new car at a proper classic show and the colour grabbed everyone's attention in the sun. Bugger to keep clean but that's the same with any black!!
 
hi vernon.....just back from walking the dog...i see project bucket's thread is growing by the minute. thanks to scout 500 for the photos.....the plain black panda looks stunning...but then with a purple top half could be even better (or not!). really not sure now,perhaps we should put it to the vote...all those in favour of black say "b" all those in favour of black/purple say "bp" (don't fancy the hammerite option though).
 
I've always wanted to get a car painted where one colour at the front fades into a different one at the back. I've seen some attempts but unless the painter really knows what they are doing it looks a bit naff, but one done properly looks great.
