I've had three black cars and for that reason I would not have another. They look fantastic when they are clean and horrible when they are dirty so you can't drive them and they remain clean which in my mind defeats the object of having a car in the first place. Just my twopenneth worth ;)
i have 2 black panda`s and a black 130 coupe, look fab all shiny, (y)

This post is mainly for Julie (Pandawoman).

I picked up the badges today :). Now although it's just about the last job to fit them I thought I'd trial fit them now, using Charmania as a guinea pig so that you have plenty of time to decide where you'd like them. As a start point I've put them where I thought was your suggested place........

Is this ok?
hi vernon.....that is where i meant for the badges but i am inclined to agree with palio that it looks a bit cluttered. one on each corner like a real panda i feel is going a bit over the top. maybe just one on the back would be better. i don't know about all the b and c pillars, where are they? never knew pandas had classic architecture along with all their other good points. anyhow my thanks to charmania for modelling for them (what is her fee?) .maybe the panel behind the back windows as once bucket is black the 4x4 symbol will no longer be visible, perhaps charmania wouldn't mind another trip down the catwalk. what do you think?

No problem, Charmania loves being the centre of attention so I'll take a few more pics today. (y)

To increase your car knowledge, the A pillar is the windscreen pillar, the B pillar is the next one back (between the side windows), and the C pillar is the wide one at the rear. On an estate car you would have a D pillar also.

Have you tried it on the K pillar...? :D

:yeahthat:

Although a lot of modern none estates have 'D' Pillars also, such as the mk3 Panda and 5-door Stilo Hatchback.

Unusual for me being a fan of stick on tat, but I really think these badges only suit mk3/4.

I think it's the font I don't like, and the 'squircleness' of them, and that it is not a decent representation of panda paw print. Not forgetting Fiat want £40 for them too

Y'know what - I really don't like them at all now - but I am very grumpy today ;)

Good job we don't all like the same thing! Personally I loved them from the moment I saw the post on the mk4 section, and think they suit the character of the mk2 perfectly. Normally I don't go in for adding anything to my Panda's but these look classy not tacky imho - if we all liked the same thing it would be very dull & there would only be Golf's & Corolla's in the world

...or we'd all be driving Pandas. (Oops.) :D

Personally, I love the badges; but do agree with those, above, about the design and font being solely for the Mk4. I also agree that having different tastes and beliefs is one of the things that makes the world a better place.... (as long as you don't go to war about it, of course...). (y)

PS: Sorry, I seem to have gone from the judgmental (rather than my usual "just mental"...) to the metaphysical, here -- and all in one post....

Looks good on the C pillar... -- although maybe a tad higher...?

Yes I think I'm still plumping for the "C" pillar - if Vernon could just move it a little higher, and move those checks out of the way for a minute...... ;)

The wing looks much better away from the indicator though. Well the badge away from it, to make more sense!!

Yes Charmania's not the best model really with all her additions, so if Kev doesn't mind I'll try higher up on the 'C' pillar tomorrow on his ST as it's the darkest Panda I've got around. :D
