Replaced back box with a peco, started car, and no power steering, nothing else was done to car, no welding no electrical work, Red steering wheel light is on on dash.
Have checked all fuses all fine. steering was working fine before, even no city light comes on on dash when switch is switched on.
Is this going to be expensive to fix.

1st job - Check battery and alternator and main earth connections. A weak battery cannot drive the power steering.
2nd job - Read the guide on repairing the power steering electronics (a recent post on this subject links to it).
If that all ok and the column is faulty, fit a service exchange unit for about £180 from BBA-Reman.

The city button dont work, if i leave ignition on mar after about 1min the red steering wheel light goes out, but as soon as i start car, light comes back on, and still no power steering

after checking battery and alternator it's so easy to remove the E P S unit and recondition it in a workshop who repair all electronic stuff . it took with me 2 hours
to repair it and till now EPS Fine 100%
