However if it intermitently operates (ie cuts in then turns off during the test) then this POTENTIALLY could be a fail. Best thing to do is remove the EPAS fuse for the MOT test so that it will be permanatly off.

but if you remove this fuse (i dont know where it is ) then the power steering wont be working so its an automatic mot failure?
Nope, cars do not have to have EPS to pass an MOT.

i askerd if the car has power steering as factory fit and you disable it by means of depriving it of the elixior of life (in this case elektrikery) would it pass an mot
EPS is treated differently to PAS as it stands. And untill Jan 2012 having the EPS light illuminated on the dash is not a fail.
