as for the original poster, inside the phone there will be a little battery like the ones in a watch, you need to open up the phone to get to it, theres no point in leaving the normal battery out if this little one is still connected,. dunno about your model of phone but some just pop out and others are soldered in but still not that difficult to remove, after you get it out, leave the phone off with no battery for a day and then put it all back together, it might work then as it completely restores its self.,

i forgot how much i love old nokias, in destructable, hasn't been turned on in 5 years! works fine, nearly charged now hope the battery is alright
