I paid £60 the other day for one, and its a sh*t brand. Anyways, around 0.5mm for that cheap lol but you dont really want them unless there above 2-3mm i assume. 1.6mm is the limit isnt it ;S

yes it is 1.6mm.
as long as they have enough thread until i can afford some new ones lol

what brand are they - some are better in wet or dry.
how much tread - limiti is 1.6mm across the width and all around the tyre.
any bulges, rips or dents in the tyre - definatly dont get them!

at the moment im trying to find some dtm mirror base plates. a mate gave me some dtm mirrors hes not using. iv sanded them ready for prime and paint. but some reason finding it hard to get plates. only that and tyres at moment. then next plan tints. and maby a black roof vinyl (whole roof matt black)

thanks a lot for that. but i nipped to carcraft motorstore today and they can get them for £16 inc vat. so think ill be getting them tomorrow. on the motor-world site you gave me i found them on there but they where £15 plus £5 delivery. but they where the right ones

Sold my Punto for £800 which wasn't bad tbh.

I have a mk4 Golf now in green, 5 door, 1.6. I got a thread on another forum I'll PM you link buddy.

just been driving around all day today going from place to place trying to find some dtm mirrors and asking about tyres. only place that do second hand are the ones i mentioned before. was a different guy and he says £70 lol. so trying to twist the g/f's arm in getting some lol.

like the sound of your new car. be interested in what work you will do to it. if you dont mind me asking tho wats the insurance on that for you? i cant wait to get a bigger engine

The insurance came to £1700 or £1800 I can't quite remember. One of them haha. Thats with Quinn.

im in 2 minds with the mirrors, may cc'd them but mite spray them satin matt black like the wheels. im thinking of gettin the 2nd hand tyres till i can afford new ones. just want the wheels on lol

well i messaged someone who on ebay who sold dtm mirrors with base plates and i asked if they would sell the baseplates on there own. said £!4 in delivery but dont think id trust em sending the right ones now as i asked them for a mk2 (2000) fiat punto 3door.
this is there reply:

does anybody know if the tyre place would accept part ex on the tyres i have on my steel whees? theres loads of thread no bubbles or marks and they are pirrellis. if they would then i could get the tyres today
as they sell 2nd hand tyres then surly theyd knock something off

just phoned them and they saihd they would reduse the price to £48 with the part x on my 4 pirrelis. is this worth it? £5.50 a tyre there knocking off.

dont trade them in mate... may aswell keep your standards and pay the £70 for the other tyres...

i think you should keep your standard wheels because what if you get a flatty in your new wheels one day and your skint? you can change over to standard for a while untill you get more tyres

thats just my opinion though!

still not got round to getting tyres. had to spend money on other more important things that have come up. so dont know now how long itl be till i get my alloys on

anyways in two minds with the dtms again lol. should i:

a) colour code them
b) do them satin matt black to match my alloys and other black parts on the car (B piller)

if i do colour code can anyone tell me the paint code of my car as i aint got a clue lol
