I added 500 ml today and it almost maxed out.

In my experience, garages have generally filled my cars correctly, but it's always worth checking. Even on modern cars, oil should be checked regularly. Measure yours carefully, and check it regularly thereafter with the car in the same place, having waited several minutes for it to settle. If it holds up over the next few thousand kilometres, assume all is well and that the garage underfilled it.

Any decent garage worth its salt will have a list of cars with sump capacity to check oil dosage required. I have the MA unit in our Delta. All early MA engined cars were prone to issues with the MultiAir Acutator - it affected all early engines on Delta/Bravo/Giulietta etc. The Actuator was updated in later cars so should not affect 500X engined vehicles. The MA issues were more to do with oil quality rather than lack/over-fill. The updated Actuator has revised oil seals.
