just noticed when visiting our new local dealer that there is a new design for the aerials, stubby and plastic as opposed to the larger one on my 500.

Not sure when they changed over but the on on my OH's 6 month old 1.2 Lounge is of the new type, exactly the same as on my A500 which is a Sept 2012 reg.
You can buy a round stubby to fit on the old large spindle type.

The new ones seem to be kind of oval shaped rather than just circular, I think the base is different.
Yes you are right Oval shaped.
This might be a digital aerial plan. As the 500L now comes with DAB it might be so they can ensure the 500 could be DAB compatible at some point.

GRRRR Got cut up by a 500L on the way home, from Kettering, yesterday morning on the M1.:slayer:
Maybe it didn't have rear view or side mirrors, but it did have a DAB?
