Being in sales for a big oil company, I tend to go to Goodwood to support our customer engagement stand every year.
It's not easy - 4 x 12 hour days on your feet talking about our products and services, but it does have a few perks.
Didn't get a chance to look at everything I'd have liked to have seen - but I did get an invite from the Duke to his Drivers' Ball. Always a good event with fireworks and film show on the lawn and a top name band - this year it was Sister Sledge!

And me annoying some famous drivers.
Mika was my favourite - after a few too many glasses of free bubbly, I spotted him walking past me, pointed and exclaimed "It's Mika Hakkinen". He smiled, laughed and when I apologised and asked for a photo, just said "I'm pleased anyone still wants their photo with me". Top man.
I also nudged Sir Jackie and said "I bet you're loving this, a bit of 70s disco!"... thoroughly disgraced myself!
