I,m afraid to say that the X's brother has managed to get to my B and cause damage.

He has taken to it with a plank of wood and its not looking so pretty anymore.

The hood has been damaged along with my door, wing and door mirror.

I have reported the matter to the police and hope they do something about it.

After the threatening behavior Ive had this week, i was planning to get the B away from my house this weekend, but its to late now. /

Will take it tomorrow to a garage to be assessed.

I do hope & prey that there is evidence to deal with him. Let me know what the police say. Make sure that any and all possible evidence is not overlooked If you know what direction they have travelled look for CCTV cammera's along that route as it may prove that they were in the area at the time of the damage. I'm assuming that you didn't get round to fitting CCTV yourself. Make sure that you check round and near the car for anything that shouldn't be there normally, possible footprints if you have any soft ground, it was raining yesterday in the south or so the weather forcaster said.

If you live in a busy police area they may be a bit quick on the investigation side so make sure that they check everything as well.

Hi, Alan,

I know it was him as he told me so, i happened to be just outside the police station and was waiting to report the recent harrasment when he called and said he wanted to see me, I said there was no reason for us to be meeting or speaking and that it would only cause more grief.

I diidnt relise he was over at mine and may have provoked him slightly from our discussion.

Next thing i heard him saying , Can you hear this, BANG BANG, that me hitting your precious car. and do i have his attension now.

I rang 999 and the police met me at home, they have seen the damage and he even rang me when they were present. He refused to speak with them and denied ever being over at mine, there seems to be no one who saw or heard anything, i have logged a harassment claim with him, my X partner and her mother as they have bombared me ,my sister and my parents for a while now.

Is there any thing more i can do to help with the matter.

If the call was on your mobile don't delete any previous calls and show the officer he called unless he has 141'd it. Even if he did use 141 the officer can do subscriber/billing checks to prove that he called using his phone and that you recieved a call from his phone and at what time, it doesn't prove enough to charge at this stage but with your statement and the phone evidence it is more than enough to have him arrested and interviewed. As said if you know what car he drives see if there are any CCTV nearby, knock on neighbours doors and ask if they have CCTV or if they saw/heard anything. There must be CCTV somewhere along the route he used it's just a matter of finding it.

With regards to camera's , i,m afraid i never got round to fitting mine. but there is only two routes out off my road.

I know there is traffic cameras at one set of lights and he would have had to travel in only one direction down this dual carriage way opposite mine . there is also one of those blue things facing in that direction. Is this a camera as i have the time when he called and there can only be a few minutes after when he must have drove this way. How can this evidence be found.

I had a for sale sign up on my house and it is this that he yanked out of the ground and took to the B . Can any fingerprints or footprints be found, would the police go this far. they just took my details, his details and later on this evening i called to make the harassment claim against them. Would the police be visiting him as he clearly deniied the fact he was there.

Taking your details is not investigating the crime you need to push it. If he has yanked out the sign and the sign post is made of wood you will not get anything from it BUT if the sign itself is smooth plastic there is a chance of recoveiring fingerprints from that. I would also check the area round the sign for footprints. Once you have looked at these call the police back and tell them what you have found. I can't believe that they didn't arrest him under the circumstances, I would have as your statement for me would have been enough grounds to lock him up.

FFS Kiry I am really sorry to hear what has happened, I cannot believe that nobody saw anything, although under circumstances like that I can understand why people would not be willing to get involved for fear of him turning up on their front door and doing the same thing.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, I am sure I can find somewhere to hide a car for you if that helps?

KC really sorry to hear about this. The whole thing must be incredibly stressful for you and your family. I hope you get somewhere with the police and that things eventually settle down for you!

i cant advise to make use of the "settling_arguments_quickly_device" , so i can only say to do what Alan says and keep pressing the police.
I dont know if they are any good in your area, I wasn't impressed by the Mancunian police a few years back when someone tried to nick our car from a closed and locked driveway, causing +1000 £ damage..: "we'll mail you a form, sir" althou they were very willing to come over and sit on me when i said that i've had a good idea who did it (know thou neighbourhood) and that i was willing to go over and cave in the culprits head.:bang:

Anyways, keep at it, it wont be easy and will be frustrating at times, but let's try to get this sorted the legal way... for now... just know that you can find moral support from this forum. :hug:

KC3, so sorry to hear of your harassment. Good that you're okay but anyone who hurts a B needs a throttling. What a scumbag.

No one should have to tolerate this behavior. Good luck. I really hope the damage gets paid for and that you're left in peace.

Regarding the phone call at the time of the incident: It should be possible to trace the position the call has been made from. I don't know how long it is on anyones database, but the call has got to go via defined cells. Might be useless info, but also might be worth a try.

I have had the police out again this morning and they have gone over the B for fingerprints or boot marks, but there not clear as he took to it with a piece of wood.

The police are investigating the case and have been over to his place but have not managed to catch him in yet.

The B will require to have one whole side painted and maybe a new hood.
I have taken it for a quote today and waiting for a figure.

The situation has got really silly now and just hope they get them before anymore damage and grief is caused.
