Thanks for letting me know! It was the second re-map to "manage" the new pump that I didn't pick up on from your first posts. I had imagined that simply pumping under a higher pressure would help when flat out but would run rich at lower speeds.

I'm off to check your turbo thread.......

Thinking about taking the B with me on my holidays.

After driving to munich for the hard top which was relatively simple, was considering taking the drive all the way to Cyprus.

Believe i would have to go to either Italy or up to greece and then take the ferry over to sunny Cyprus.

Just not sure wether to have the turbo fitted prior.

Wouldnt want to blow her on the way, especially when i get to that lovely german unrestricted autobahn.

What do you think guys and girls.

Sounds like fun to me. We did about 2000k in one go. To make it fun thoug you need to plan a bit of off the motorway driving. Last year I went to Turin, so we took the Italian Job route. Much prettier and much more fun to drive!

There are plenty of hair dye's out there and at 6'1" I got long legs as well ;) must be your perfect companion  :D

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: .

I may have found an interested partie. She's not tall and leggy at only 5,1 but has a great pair on her and usually full of humour.

just had a call and shes feeling pissed off with life.

She is an old friend, so this trip could be just what we both need to cheer us both up.

tskk, before you know it you're in some kind of relationship and you'll start getting moans... not moans of the "oh yeah, oh yessss, oh yeiaaah" -type, but moans of the "when are you gonna finish decorating the hallway?" -type.

she'll want you to spend less time with the B and more time with her, with shopping, with redecorating, with visiting her parents,...
and sooner or later the dreaded words "shouldn't you grow up and buy a sensible car?" will be spoken...

then again... maybe not, pardon my cynical view, i'm just a grumpy old man :D

Oi!

Grumpy.
I hope you're not implying its just the girls who do that - i've had a couple of similar comments from mike about it not been a very sensible car! My reply is that 95% of the time it is just me in the car, so its actually very sensible.
xS

i wouldn't know if its just the girls doing that, i lack the experience of having male partners :D
but i suspect that any partner of any gender can by a killjoy :(

No, no go with this girl, let her push you into off-loading the turbo Barchetta to one of us on the cheap!

funny thing though, thinking about it , she already wanted to change the plan, said we should could stay in posh hotels. and take our time driving over. and maybe even forget the idea and go thailand instead. :shakehead:

Alan , you stil up for it. :D

upto the point of forgetting the idea and going to thailand, it was still a sensible suggestion..
after all: "the journey is my holiday"

there is no need to go blasting down the motorway all of the time..., there a few nice alternatives.. bison fute, coastal roads, mountain passes... something the B is build for
