I bought a Fiat Ducato in 2015 from a dealership who apparently (I only found out 2 months after buying it) mashed 2 Ducatos together : one had had a rear-end accident and the other had a broken engine. So the dealer took the engine from the first and put it in the second. But since the 2 models were not identical, he used a lot of magic to make it work.
According to my current dealership he probably used parts from 3 different types.
The current problem is the engine started producing massive amount of black smoke and was cutting power, so the problem was clearly an injector problem. Removing them turned out to be impossible, as they had 'welded' themselves (that's the terminology the dealership used).
He was able to find the original model that was in the chassis, but given the mismash of other components, that won't fit anymore.
Apparently the model that's currently in the van is "250ccmfb bx", so I'm looking for an engine with that exact type.
Any advice (of where to find one, or other advice) is most welcome, since I spent hundreds of hours building it into a very nice camper van...
