Congratulations, your last screen shot confirms what I originally said would likely be your issue. Some background fact first: With the Comfortmatic gearbox, when the engine is running and the vehicle is stationary, then no matter what gear is selected, or indeed no gear selected (neutral) then the clutch will be open. Yours is closed! This is demonstrated by the fact the clutch is spinning, whereas it should be at 0RPM. The reason it is closed, is because the clutch solenoid current is 0mA, whereas it should be around 900mA. Because it is at zero current, there is no hydraulic pressure exerted on the master cylinder piston and it is (correctly) reporting that with the sensor showing 18.2mm. So, your fault is either a loose connection or open circuit wire between the TCU and the EV0 clutch solenoid, or the clutch solenoid coil is faulty. Like I said - check the plug/socket connection on EV0 as it is probably corroded due to water ingress.

Thank you for your help
No problem - beats doing crosswords! It is always a good idea to check in here first before spending a lot of money on parts while guessing what the problem could be. Also, once you learn and understand the operation of the beast and get familiar with the live data, you will be in a much better position.

I attach the diagnosis procedure from Fiat eLearn manual below, just for information. Deejays suggestions match this very well.
(I would think that steps 1 and 2 should better be performed in the opposite order, though. But maybe I'm missing something)

Easiest access to solenoid(s) is to remove starter battery and battery box. It is most likely a loose or corroded connector. If it is a faulty coil, then before you remove the solenoid ensure the hydraulic pressure is zero.

Hi deejay recieved this back from someone who supplies fiat parts was trying to find the sensor is this correct? Thanks

Look for Comfortmatic spare parts list in the Downloads section of the forum for info.
Pierburg is an optional supplier for the valves, seems to be available on eBay. The robot has two different types of valves (2 of each) so of course important to check which one is correct for EV0. I dont have the opportunity to do that right now.

Thank you

I have replaced heaps of clutches and flywheel and selespeed pump on ducato. Not many issue with the robot selespeed.
I reccomend start by replacing the clutch and go from there

Thought that but clutch was done less than a year ago

Is there anyway of checking the clutch without taking it out?

As we have already diagnosed, the issue is with the drive of the clutch solenoid EV0. Download and read the following manual on your gearbox. Page 13 specifies the difference between the two types of valves used. EV0 is a proportional flow type. https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/teaching-guide-m40-robotised-gearbox.494359/
You might be better off going to a FIAT PRO dealer with your VIN number and buy from them.

We usually check clutch disc speed when vehicle is still. If the disc is not still and have some speed on it, we usually replace the clutch and fix the various issue
@zipxx88 The clutch is new. Have a look at what has already been tested and diagnosed in the thread. The issue is with either faulty connection to EV0 or a faulty EV0.

Checking evo solonoid tomorrow will replace it connection looks ok i have found some on ebay the pier ones alot cheaper than main dealer fiat

Just had the solonoid fitting but van is stuck in reverse so we cant calibrate or start it any ideas? We have bled the clutch

It worked (intermittently) before you replaced the solenoid, so what has changed? The diagnostics clearly showed that either EV0 has failed or the cabling to it is intermittent. Could it be the solenoid is not the correct one? You are the one with the vehicle and you have a very good scan tool. My approach would be to view the pertinent live parameters with ignition on, engine off and observe when trying to select N, R and 1st.

I matched part number to solonoid on the part number list on here and location on the diagram will double check live data thanks
