500 Gorgeous new lounge :D

Introduction

Picked up my beautiful new 1.2 lounge this morning!! The whole experience has been smooth and the dealer contacted me whenever there was an update. Got free mats and half a tank of petrol too! ( oh, and one of those pound thingys for the trolley with stoneacre on)

He's a tech house grey with black/white chequered cloth seats with black ambience :) very happy with him!!

Love this look -- I originally wanted my 500C Lounge in this colour but they had zero stock, so I ended up going with Crossover Black instead. I love the black, but I'd go for a dark metallic grey anytime.

They sent me a letter telling me to ring a number for my 'loyalty' discount, but I'd already booked it, gonna take the letter and try bargaining though :)

No, call the number first, get a price then explain they can add it to your existing booking, do this before it goes in or you might not get it :(

That's interesting - I might pop down to the Fiat/Alfa specialist and see how much it would be to get my stilo serviced. I'd normally use the local mechanic, but it would be nice to loose the "Service Due" message every time I start up.
Dealer price doesn't sound too horrific...

A good back street garage should be able to reset it also (y)

Really? I've been reading a lot about "service tickets" on the canbus etc, and it seems that it requires the Fiat machine, and most other machines can't do it. Maybe I'll have a word with the local garage/mechanic and see if his machine can do it.

Depends upon the kit they've got and how upto date it is.

Snap-on Ethos units can (we'll my mechanics can).

You should be able to do it yourself by pressing a combination of buttons
