It was pointed out to me by my trainer at the gym "if you go ON a diet . . . you will have to come OFF of the diet again" you have to have a "life change" so its not just a case of eating healthy till you loose the weight, you have to keep eating right once you are happy with your body.

Couldn't agree more! I would say though that depending how much your trying to lose, the diet will become a way of life rather than just to lose weight. Diet's will only shift a certain amount of weight without exercise, this is probably the weight balance point which you'll maintain with better eating/exercise you've become accustom to during the diet.

Very common sense. And I guess it's the approach I've taken.

Now, I have to hold my hands up. I did indeed partake of a cheeky jar at Steves last Saturday. Stealth. However, I've since realised cutting out alcohol from my life all together is impossible. Well, not impossible. But just...difficult.

Moderation is the key.

Today I'm doing a bit better again. Sandwhich and Custard for lunch (I know!) but Bacon roll this morning then a rowie at piece time. So back on the bike tonight, regardless of the weather. Going flyering at some point over the weekend, so might be a case of leaving the car(s) at the end of the road and doing some good old fashioned walking. It can only help!

biked 4miles, walked 1mile healthy lunch then had a packet of Seabrooks Prawn crisps mmmmmmm tasty! Being doing fairly well other than diet food from the golden m last night. Looking forward to the weekend, bit of swimming, walking and car polishing with a bit of sunshine!

Hello Friday.

It's not been a bad week, no alcohol since Saturday night, no crisps since Sunday and only a tiny amount of chocolate (got a chocolate eclair from the cleaners on Wednesday). It's making a difference too as my clothes feel much looser and I can get into a skirt I haven't worn in a couple of years. The question is can I remain sensible over the weekend? I never thought I'd say this but luckily I have to work so no chance of going out and over-indulging. It'll be a couple of g&t's watching a film and a solitary bag of crisps. I know how to live large me ;)

I was bad yesterday. And today. Breakfast has reverted again to eating junk, simply down to having no time. Must set the alarm for a little bit earlier. No booze since my stray last Saturday, so that's very little consumed in near three weeks. I wasn't alcoholic, or even near to it, but I'm feeling better having cut down on the booze.

As a loose form of punishment I went out on the bike again for half an hour last night. Felt good. Planning a big run (Garthdee to Northfield) on Sunday, once I'm done flyering cars around town with Callum.

Oops.

Some how, a packet of mini eggs managed to make it's way into my shopping basket on Friday night. I managed to resist them yesterday but have eaten the lot this morning. It won't be helping that I'm stuck on my backside all day today in front of the laptop but at least the rain has finally gone off and I may get out later for some exercise.

Back to no crisps, chocolate and alcohol from now until Friday though

I decided that as from Tomorrow back on the diet.
So not had any Alcahol since last Saturday at Steve's.
Bought some Muller Light yogurts from work as their on offer 4- £2, so bought 8 for £4, so 1 tonight, then 1 everynight after dinner, also been taking go ahead baked apple bars to work, in a vain hope that it will pull me away from the vending machines in the Canteen at work.

Sigh

I don't know what's wrong with me today. I'm craving chocolate so badly I've just raided the chocolate-flavoured hundreds and thousands

I think I used up all my self control last week. Either that or it's because I'm tired.

Mmmnn bourbon biscuits. Lovely when the two biscuit halves are separated and the filling eaten separately. Is it bad that I have been known to melt the fondant over a flame first.

Nope ive done the same haha.

Im failling again this week, and will be next week as ive not been shopping for lunches DAMM

I made sandwiches last night...completley forgot to take them. Damn.

Will go find something good for lunch, doing proper good today. Only cereal for breakfast and still trucking on. Went for a good run on the bike again last night too, plus plenty walking round town and a healthy Sunday dinner (roast with veg)

Back on the bike again tonight. Looking to see how quickly I can get from mine to the Duthie Park and back. It's a sub half hour already, including a lap of the park...just not sure about that place at nights. Have heard stories :S

I heard it's Victoria Park that has the really dodgy reputation. Not that I'd know these things

An ok day for me. I was wavering mid afternoon when my colleagues were going over the top for this damned audit tomorrow but I managed to stay away from the vending machine. A brisk walk when I got home sorted out the rest of the stress and now I'm happily chilled again.
