I've ran a red light in sheffield, it was at night, dark wet and 3 sets of traffic lights together, on a very wide road. 1 of the lights wasn't working, or was pointing in the wrong direction, and I truly believed I had green lights all the way through.

I was obviously looking around for people and driving slowly as it was poor conditions, so no danger.

Send it by recorded mail and get them to send it back thyat way too, fcukers lost mine 2months ago and i have a producer to hand in by sat.

They only give out speeding tickets so that traffic cops can roll around in top of the range X5's and RangeRovers
I am quite sure that their is something alot cheaper, both in purchase and fuel

Despite the extra power, fuel consumption has actually improved, but if 21.6mpg still sounds sufficiently

I am sure we have loads of alternatives

If the stupid people were to stop driving at 50mph through 30 zones, it'd have the same effect.

i would just pay up, its quite simple really.

if you try an appeal it then seen as you dont really have any grounds to then i reckon they try for your license and a ban if they could as you only have 1 year driving. :chin:

You should just pay and not push you look. I ran a red last year at a crossing, I felt as guilty as ever as it was a pure mistake, and I'm usually a very observant driver. It was on my mind for ages because of what could have happened. Luckily I didn't get caught, but I can see why you're pissed off cos there are idiots that run lights all the time deliberatley and generally behave like arsholes on the roads and get away with it, so when you get caught for doing something without intending to it is aggrevating. But I guess it's the best way to teach you to be more aware.

My advice is to pay up as if it goes to court (by doing so you admit you are NOT guilty) so if you are found guilty the penalty you face will be higher unfortunatly.
Just be glad you didnt crash or somthing
Out of interest, what do you guys think to driving whilst on phone and the £30 non endorsables?

And remember how little speeding camera fines actually brings in, less than Simon Cowel pays in tax per year. Even Clarkson admits they are not revenue generators...

Why should 32 in a 30 zone be more dangerous than driving while on the phone? Why do they think we don't trust them anymore?

Speed cameras are useless in that to them 32 and 132 are the same, still get snapped whereas a police officer can judge road conditions etc etc and would let you off or not even bother stopping you, i certainly would bother!
People on phones :bang: winds me up! Especially when they have their phone in left hand holding it to the right ear or vice versa whilst trying to do junctions and roundabouts! Not safe!
