Yes gear position switch can just be removed no pressurised fluid behind it

Image in post 51 do not rely on part number shown the image was provided to show what it looks like not for part number.
Ok. I think I will remove old one and see if I can see a part number, might not be today, but one night this week lol

P1818 does not help much
The transmission control unit has asked for a change

It's failed mechanical, hydraulic or failed to register (sensor)
 
You've lost fluid. There are 2 areas the robot leaks from - the gear selector actuators (2 solenoids) and the clutch actuator. The clutch actuator will have have weepage around if it has been leaking. If the gear selector actuators are leaking, the leaking fluid builds up towards the gear position sensor at the front, and will show weepage.
Mine has weepage around the clutch actuator, but it's currently behaving itself.
It's interesting you can still change gear manually (up/down) when hot, which suggest the robot is working ok.
