When I removed the undertray on the Panda for aan oil change I discovered a crushed exhaust pipe. I presume someone at a garage hoisted the car with the exhaust taking part of the weight.
I removed the exhaust today and cut the damaged section off. I then used a series of sockets to drive through the tube to bring it back to shape.
A trip to a local engineering shop and it's back on.

Are you sure it's not supposed to be like that? I remember my 4x4 Panda had a flat spot on the exhaust and that had a metal bash plate so unlikely to have been crushed.

Here's a pic I managed to find, you can just see what seems to be the same dent ahead of the flexi section.

Good sheet metal/welding skills there!

Except mines on the bottom of the exhaust facing the ground, no bolt access obstructed. I still think it's been crushed on a hoist.

An apology... looked under the car again today and there are 4 threaded holes, 2 each side in line with the "crushed" section of the exhaust pipe.
Looks like the 4x4 Panda may well have a brace across the car that requires the pipe to be deformed to allow clearance. Fiat have probably used 1 exhaust pipe for 2wd and 4wd cars.
I'm convinced that there will be a performance increase without the restricted section. (That's a joke..)
