Lol. MY 1108cc mpi engine has a 4-2-1 supersprint stainless manifold, full custom stainless peco exhaust. Modified k and n forced induction kit, magnecor leads and a race lightened flywheel. With a good driver I would still put my money on the cento!

hey man, nice set up, how much u get the manifold for?
and where did u get the lightened flywheel an how much was it?

These guys do Super Sprint;
http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/

and to work out the codes you need to look up for price, and see Super Sprints own dyno'd gains see here;
http://www.supersprint.com/a_prodotti.asp?modello=fiacin3

ex. Manifold; code 81:42:01 RRP £244.76 their price £208.31 inc VAT.

And for your fly wheel, any engineering company can do it, but its probably best to use a company that port n polish cylinder heads as they normally do the lightening and balancing stuff too. (y)

Amen to that. Ive been quoted £30 for the machine shop to do my flywheel by the max possible amount (before its too light and hence making the crankshaft unstable)...Id ideally like a 35-40% reduction in weight (the GSR Superlight wheels are 50% lighter, but that'd make the car crawl uphill...)

Was about to slit my wrists in shame when I heard the best noise in the world (no not him crashing) a Dump Valve :rolleyes:

Must have been bad then....hmmm.

You guys are funny..... Ive never seen so much bull**** in one thread. And I used to frequent the Saxo message boards.

Seeing as you asked.....

One of my favourites, is feeling the kick of the transmission putting the power down onto the road away from traffic lights, and watching all the other cars disappear into your rear view! Making use of the cinq/sei's very short first gear ratio. Also taking a bend at speed, braking ever so late, using all the road, get the car at the limit - now that is where the best feeling is to be found!!
That made me chuckle, nut not as much as;
But, my favourite win, was against a peugeot 205 gti, i'm not sure if it was a 1.6 or a 1.9, but it was modded. Two roads went into one from the lights after about 150 yards, so it was all down to a good handbrake start, and bang I had him! Good old short first and second gears and he really was trying! By the fact i heard his engine limiter cut in in first! lol

Thats fantastic!

Ive had an MR2 dump its valve 3 times behind me in a traffic light GP before - i was really shocked at that
:bang:

heck i held off a 2 litre nova till mid 2nd,

:rolleyes:

Shall I go on.....?
Im not trying to make enemies here but I felt compelled to reply to this outrageous thread.

This guy is realistic,
See personally Pete I agree to a point, however, that point (IMO) stops when the cars are so completely unmatched. a GTi 1.9 205 will do 0-60 in around 7.6 (according to what i can find) in against the cinqs 13.6, that's a hell of a lot of thumbling time (even up to 40mph). A badly driven coupe for example would trounch a Cinq sporting even if driven by a bad driver because even if you spent a few seconds not moving you would catch up VERY quickly.

Lets work this out Pete has a 1242 cinq, this will be a few seconds quicker to 60 that the standard cinq. pete also has a 1242 turbo that will be even quicker to 60 and j333evo has a high boost turbo, 0- 60 must be high 6 low 7 sec.

We have even see Cinqs with uno turbo lumps and punto gt lumps in them your not telling me these are slow they would take out much bigger a so called fast cars.

Ok the standard cinq sport with a few basic mods wont be that quick but it would still be quick on the twisty stuff with a few suspension mods.

I have never been a cinq turbo (low or high boost) but I would expect them to out do most of the "hot hatch group". I think what most people are trying to say is that the Cinq in what ever form it may be will suprise a lot of other cars

Ok well to pick just one of those to start with the guy who held of the Nova...

That was on a drag strip with many people watching...... ;)

Some of them I disagree with which I have said if you've read the whole thread you'll see....

Also some of these people have ever so slighty tuned cars so....

110bhp in a 700kg car tends to go quite well :D

Duly noted.
While Im here will somebody explain the differences between a Cinq and the other one..... Cant remember the name.

GTi-6, you're taking over my job! Who are you?

I am banned from saying anything against cento sportings now lol :D

Seicento and Cinquecento, the Sei replaced the Cinq, it's the curvy girly one (no offence intended to male sei drivers and I know how much Gaz likes it being called a girl's car anyway).

Both had sporting models with a 1108cc engine and a low ratio gearbox giving good 0-30 times for the size of engine with a slightly lower top speed that you would expect because of this.

A lot of the posts on this thread are obviously BS, however, the fact is there are owners on here (quite a number) who have modified 1108s, 1242 8v punto engines, one with a 1242 16v Punto engine, then one with a low comp 1242cc 8v engine and another with a high comp 1108 etc. so it's not always as stupid as it sounds.

You would have loved one our members who claimed to have out run a subaru by "Changing up to 4th" and pulling away or similar.

GTi-6, is that a reference to a certain French car badged as such? If so, how come we find you in these mudded waters of Italian cars?

Nothing against it, I like Franch cars, owned a couple of 5 GT Turbo's and the proper MK1 1.3L 106 Rallye, but can't help but think you will not gain much in knowledge, unless your thinking of coming over to the dark side! :D
