Gotta be one of if not my fave standup show ever.. If you ever meet me you'll find i'm constantly quoting eddie izzard and bill bailey, i just can't help myself

"YOU!! Tea and cake or DEATH!!
Very well give him cake!

Thankyou for flying Church of England, hello tea and cake or death??"

I`m not sure if you`ve sorted your clearance problem with your coolant pipe?
But i removed the angled pipe from mine and cut down the block it`s mounted to,
Then refitted the angled pipe.
Hope this helps
Cheers
Adrian

Fit new ECU.
Install LC1 lambda controller

so... yeah.. plenty to do.

Shame, took the thickness into consideration but it needed a decent slope for the injector spray otherwise it would've created a bad fuel drag. Tried my best with one hand to make it look good, ended up leaving it with someone to do and they put a hole in it that was too big so i had to plug weld a bolt in (as you can see) and they took slices out of the back  TBH doesnt look great, would prob do the job if there wasnt a space issue though. I do much better work obviously whe its actually me doing it and i have two hands

Whats plan B then? i could do you a full stainless Inlet? :D

Jordan

yeah, its my fault i should've mesaured it all first and checked what size the plate could've been.. doh! i know what you mean re the thickness though, it does have to be that thick.

plan b is to sell my current head and 'fix' my spare 75 head

there has been a lot of talk of port sizes etc with these heads. im going to clear something up here and now. This isn't "i think this, or that" this is fact:

Punto75 head has larger inlet ports than the Punto60. They are larger still than my head, which was been ported.

One thing to note is there's a difference between rev 1 and rev 2 Punto 60 heads. I've had them side by side. The rev 2 looks like it could possibly be a Punto 75 head, but I couldn't be sure as I never had them side by side as a comparison.

Youd know by the port shape on the 75 head because of the injector spray pattern on the inlet ports, more egg shaped.

(y) and the 75 inlet valves are bigger than some 60's valves arent they?

a nicely worked 75 head should yield some great increases, what cam are you going for again? a 75 or re-worked GSR? Barini & Columbine (sp) ?

Jordan

the 75 inlet valves are bigger than the early 60 heads yes, but the same size as my SPI head.

I'm using the 75 cam from my SPI head, i do not want a wild cam as ultimately this engine will be turbo'd and i don't want massive overlap. Considering in stock form the 75 has larger ports.. and its currently being ported and the manifold taken out to match.. it should be nicer. breifly discussed bigger valves, but dismissed that.

btw, these turbos dont really fit.. makes a nice paper weight tho hehe. VNT turbo.. no wastegate.. actuator to adjust the vane posistions to acheive boost levels.. its witch craft i tells thee

where abouts are we looking? combustion chamber? They do look very similar.

from the side, you can see port differences, inlet manifold stud pattern differences and also a difference in the way the waterway bolts on. (75 has two bolts vs the 60's 1.)
