mine was port matched by a local engineering firm.
no, it has no extenal wastegate.. it needs a complex controller though to make it work properly

its a brand new turbo off a ford focus c-max. they're used on the multijet engines too, and the vag tdi's

wicked, i think ill do that when i put on my tricker then. just dremmel as much out as you can or is there a max diameter you can go?

Get a new gasket, line it up to the manifold and mark the maximum you can go, then dremel to that. Go as far up the ports as you can but do not leave a step in them, you must make it a smooth transition. Don't worry about polishing it up though, it doesn't need it otherwise fuel and air won't mix properly.
If you do dremel it out, theres many things to condiser, like, how wide to go before risking putting a hole in it, the finish it leaves, and if the mating faces are going to be affected in doing so. If you are doing it, you have to get all ports/holes, as close as possible to being symetrical to each other and leave a slightly rough finish to allow the fuel to not form as droplets (cant think of the right phrase) as polishing will do.
Its possible to do, its just care has to be taken as you can easily end up being down on power rather than up.

remember the spi manifolds have a waterway, you don't want to get into that!
Nono, skinz is right, best method is to use a gasket and take it out so it sits level with it, i wasnt trying to put you off, just merely saying that you have to take care, waterways etc lie beneath!

yeah would be messy. new one doesn't have any waterways though - no point in heating a dry flow manifold

got the 75 head back, been taken to the same spec as my SPI head.
isnt it shiny!
had the 75 manifold matched to the head as well
and the mod done as you can see in the previous post.
this of course now means my old GSR prepped head will be for sale soon.
picking up the new custom brake hoses tomorrow (cheers Aaron)

yeah, there was no other way! (plus it has 2mm larger ports :slayer: )
these arrived this morning, addressed to 'Cento Lover' hehe.
stainless steel flexys for the brakes. Fronts, and then the custom rears so i can fit the GT rear calipers.
