What neat solutions do people have to avoid having a power lead hanging down like a wonky plumb line from dash cam to power socket? I suppose around the windscreen somehow but how do you secure it neatly?

I've got my camera up behind the mirror/rear view screen and the wire is tucked up in the headlining [fiorino van] ive got a 4 way socket up in the dash and plug all my accessories into that

I use clips which stick to the top of the windscreen, then run the wires behind the trim on A-Pillar so you don't actually see the wires.
Link to the type of clips I mean:

Personally, I turn the g sensor thing off. With all the potholes etc in this country I used to find I had a folder full of locked files all from potholes etc. Even setting the sensor to minimum didn't help. And once the locked files folder is full, you have to physically remove those files (as the cam doesn't overwrite them).

Different cameras record at different bitrates (I can set my mobius to low, medium or high) which will fill a card at different speeds.
on high bitrate, I can get 8.5 hours on a 64gig card, medium bitrate gives about 11 hours (or thereabouts).
I bought one of these cheap "Shadow recorder" things (followed the link off here) at Christmas. The piocture quality is great, but I can't figure out how to turn the sound rewcording on, and more importantly it fills up and then stops recoring. It doesn't over write. It comes with some of those classic Chinese instructions where even the English seems like Chinese. The vendor Vooyuu or something or other have been useless . They just said they don't sell it anymore and don't know how to work it so they have sent for one themselves, but that was weeks a go! If I had paid a lot of money for it I would have been more annoyed to be honest.

Bought myself a F70 over the weekend and been trying it out for past couple of days. Theres a video in the other dashcam thread, but hopefully can get some help.

- Think it's an F70, the one with front + back with the front one looking like a digital camera/rotating lens

Essentially the camera focuses on the windscreen/air vents reflection so unless stopped behind a car it's very blurry. Most obvious when lights are on, seen no mention of changing focal range... any tips? Ta

Make sure night vision is off, as this can cause IR reflection in the screen I believe.

Halfords are now selling one for £59.00 advertising discount on insurance as well
