We say: Very impressed with the clarity from the Mobius; as soon as you pause the recording, writing is clear. After putting the Mobius back in today, we didn't get exactly the same positioning as yesterday so we could move it a mm or two to the right but all in all it got a good panorama. With the 32G SD card and an hour a day's recording approx., it will start to record over the first file in about 20 days time. Plenty of time to take off any video you might want to keep.
She says: Will sit inside Ruby tomorrow and look at all the possible suggestions of routes around the doors, pillars and linings etc to see if an unobtrusive pathway is possible. Don't want exploding wires or any possibility of wires hampering an air-bag deployment, nor wires all over or going round the interior. Apparently it might be able to be linked to the ignition switching, but not keen to have anything opened up really, (even if it is hubby doing the job) so I'm completely on the fence right at the moment! No doubt it would be useful to have a Ruby-Cam as the clarity and panorama are proven, but a clean, OEM type fitting is what I really want. Ruby came with the dashboard Sat-Nav fitting (before they became £50) in case I ever wanted to use one, but I'd rather read a map book beforehand, whilst stationery. Wouldn't feel safe looking at it (you wouldn't catch me using a mobile whilst driving in a million years, and in Ruby I don't have to

) but back to the point, the Sat-Nav mounting isn't being used. If it could be used for a dash-cam, then I've got questions, the obvious two being i) would the camera be able to see properly at all given how far back from the windscreen it would be (a foot or more at a guess) and b) I have no idea how the power works, is it powered all the time or does it only power up when it engages with the Sat-Nav fitting at the point the Sat-Nav is inserted and gets pushed down into it.
