I've a small but rather annoying problem. When it rains, the left end of my wiper blades sometimes start to "stick" when in the low position and they "snap" free when the arm lifts the blade as it's been sticking to the windshield. It's more prevalent on the passenger side (shorter) wiper and annoyingly the blades bend to a curve quite badly and gives a loud bang when they pop free. Of course this doesn't happen on every wiping operation and is quite intermittent. The amount of water on the windshield doesn't seem to affect this.

I've tried Valeo, Bosch and Champion blades over the years and they all start to behave the same after a couple of weeks so I reckon that maybe the wiper arms apply a tad excessive force against the windshield and they cannot move the blades on the glass smooth enough.

Can these arms be adjusted somehow? Or do you think this is caused by something else?

I had the same problem with fine especially in the rain. Just remove the cap at the bottom of the wiper arm exposing a 13mm bolt. Remove the bolt and free the wiper arm. Do this by pushing where the hinge in the wiper arm is and it should break free. Then adjust accordingly you'll probably want to move it down a bit. Then test and repeat if nessary.

I finally got round to the issue and had it fixed.
It turned out that the driver's side wiper blade sometimes cut into the passenger side's. After some adjustments it all works fine now. Although there's very little play in it as when it's too much then the driver's side blade touches the side of the windscreen. Anyway, all sorted now, one little annoying problem went away!

On my windscreen there are two marks in / neat the black area. Little circles. These are targets for the tips of the wiper blades when correctly adjusted and the wipers are in the parked position. There is almost no tolerance on the Bravo of one of other blade is not perfectly aligned they snag. It takes a bit of fiddling to stop this irritating and potentially damaging and dangerous problem. If in doubt ask a dealer or glazing firm to help it should only cost a small amount and could stop the wipers from failing at a vital moment. Good luck.

Hi I am having the same issue but I can't seem to get the cap of the bolt off as there is a cover over it connected with the bonnet. Can anyone help?
