According to an email i have just got from an Aixam dealer, you will soon be able to drive one of these little cars on a provisional licence, but you wont need an instructor whilst driving it . so a 16 year old can get straight into this car, and start driving without any supervision :(. This scares me, as most 16 years olds cant control a bike never mind a car :nono:

is it 50cc or eletric? i knew the bigger 4 wheel Aixams could be driven on a full bike licence, but i thought that was only if you passed bike test before a certain date

That looks huge for a 50cc. Biggest engine you can have with no proper liscencse on a provisional from age 16 is 125cc, you must also display L plates at all times

I'm not up for that.

Lots of people I know can drive a car with no license, I always tell them being able to move a car about is not the same as moving it about safely.

Observing Mirrors, Blind Spots, knowing how a roundabout works etc.

I've been driving with people who don't have a license, some of them are really good, usually because they obtained a licence in a different which isn't valid here but then I've been driving with people who have never held a license and you immediatly notice the difference in driving skills.

Those boys and girls on mopeds with no training will need to get run over first before they start riding safe.

i doubt it, as it has a top speed of 48mph, or do you just know some fast walkers ;)

yeah get a good power walk on, will breeze past it

I find it funny that it's got a 1 speed gearbox and the rev limiter kicks in at 3,600rpm :D

(well, that's what it looks like on the site anyway)
