I have a pre-2001 Multipla with the standard blaupunkt radio.tape/CD changer. A while back I would be driving along when the radio would give a loud popping noise and all sound would stop. I could make the sound come back on either by turning it off and turning it back on again or by changing the radio band.
However, not that long ago, it decided not to come back on. If I try to turn the radio on, it powers up, flashes Demomode, and turns itself off. If I leave the radio face in place, it pops quietly and steadily.
What have I done? What can I do?
Also...I bought the car second hand with a broken antenna. This looks like its fixed to the roof. Is it a difficult/expensive job to replace?
