Thank you for accepting me as a member. I have a 2004 Fiat Multipla 1.9, and the Blower fan inside the car stopped working. I took out the blower and tested it, and it works, I took out the resistor and did basic testing, it seems ok, what I am concerned about is that there is a fuse to either the blower or the Resistor that I can find that might be faulty. So I would like to try and run a new feed from the battery or somewhere the Cigarette lighter to the Blower or the Resistor to overcome the possibility of a fuse being the problem, but I do not know how to solve this problem
I have a graphic of it all but dont know how to insert it here.

Off hand I don't know the wiring colours but fan resisters are a common issue on Fiats.
I wouldn't try to take a feed from the cigarette lighter as both use quite a far amperage so may overload the circuit.
Is the fan switch OK?

It is not a simple fan speed resistor ....It is an electronic speed controller.
There will be a fuse for the fan system somewhere.

Yes I know, but I dont know where to find it, I checked every single fuse that I could find and all were ok, so It is very possible that Im not finding the correct one for the Resistor. therefore I thought it might be easier to run a new wire with a fuse in from the Lighter for instance, just to ensure it gets power. My problem is though that I dont know which wire to cut and connect to my direct line

Im not a Auolec, but the actual switch seems in order

It is NOT a resistor

A 2 minute Google search suggests fuse is 30amp in passenger compartment fuse box - ie in front of driver under storage tray. If you look in hand book or Google for exact location (which row and column) don't take it as gospel because often not 100% accurate.
Still it should be under tray in front of driver.

Find the fuse for the cigar lighter ....if is greater than 30amps then yes connect fan to it.

Or run an extra wire from battery to fan.
Make sure to fuse it correctly close to the battery as possible and use 30amp cable.
Keep in mind to not leave fan running when vehicle off or you will have fiat battery.

Yes this is exactly what I want to do, but I dont know which wire to connect it to...There is a Silver one that goes to the Resistor, or there is an Orange one that goes directly to the fan.

Do not connect to existing wiring at all because you don't know where the fault is.

Connect directly to the fan , you will need an on off switch and a ground for the fan

Ok, thanks, so it will just run on full speed then?

If you find the wiring diagram for the fan .post it on here and I will try and decode it for you

Omg IT IS NOT A RESISTOR
Im sure you are a lot more use to the elements in Car electronics, I only know the basics that entails fitting a plug to a light...but as you see below on this pic, this is what they call it

The picture of the part you posted in your car is NOT a resistor it is an electronic speed controller. Because your car has an auto speed function and auto temp control.

I could post a picture of a carrot for sale and call it a banana ..... that wouldn't make it a banana

Please pardon my ignorance.......the only reason why I call it a resistor is because I thought it was better than calling it that "thing with the blade", whatever it is called.......I just want to find out if there is a way that I can make it work since I cannot establish if there is a blown fuse involved.
