General 40 to 50% mark up on 75LX radiator?

the radiator on my wifes 1.2 75LX 1995 punto has sprung lots of leaks and even with two doses of 'bar leak stop' continues to leak after a short run. I looked at prices on the web and these were about £50 (not bad I thought) so I rung my mechanic friend who was in a local parts dealers at the time, and they wanted £80!!!!!! but not in stock. What a rip off. I know they have to make some profit, but they are not holding the stock even. I know most of you are going to say well order it off the web then, but I have had some bad experiances with e-mail ordering, so the question is does anyone know any motor spares outlets in the Rochdale, Oldham, Bury area that sells Punto radiators at around £50.

are you saying you expect original parts to be same cost as cheap aftermarket parts

no of course not, not knowing what the price of a genuine Punto radiator is in the first place, I am by your response seeing why there is a difference.

£80 isnt too bad i had to pay over £100 for the rad in my punto, that was the cheapest i could get other than ebay non genuine parts
