Yes.. you obviously have a plug that is the longer type..
P.s. there is a GUIDE on the 12v socket.. as so many ECO models went without the socket

They would have it running long enough for heater hot, thermostat open, the rad hot and electric fan switching on and off.I haven’t had it idling for too long. I wonder if the garage did when they did the cambelt change on Thursday to check it’s running okay?

Think I have sorted it.
I loosened the 3 bolts off holding the alternator in and levered the alternator as far back as it would go whilst tightening the top bolt. This seemed to get the belt just a tad tighter. Enough to stop the squealing.
