Technical Front Shock Absorbers, June 2009 1.1 Active Eco.

Replacing the front shocks on my June 09 Panda 1.1 Active Eco.
Quite a mine field out there in the pattern parts market.
Are the shocks specific to my model or are they the same across the 169 range ?

Yes it's a mine field

Fiat had unique struts for almost everything

As an example

1.1 with electric power steering

Was different to 1.1 without power steering

Third party struts there's less choice

In the Bilstein B4 range for example, list the same for all models

As you can see the size of the 1.1, 1.2.1.3 are all the same and will fit

The 4x4 and 100hp being different

Personally I wouldn't worry too much about it and put a generic 1.1/1.2 shock in

Fiat carefully tune the parts so even the weight of the Aircon effects their spring choice, in reality most people will not notice any difference

Such as the B4 Bilstein 22-215505 which is closest bilstein do to the original

I wouldn't fit the B6 (sport upgrade) myself as they are pretty harsh on bad roads, a few people love them yet other hate them
