17 yr old- punto sporting

i cant find cheaper than £2800 with quinn direct, its 3k with lowered suspension declared, 3k! on a 1.2 lol not happy

anyone else young with a sporting?

Punto Sporting is insurance group 7. Spose they are fairly fast for their engine size as well.

Not suprised quotes are soo high.

Try www.ecarinsurance.co.uk - I've never been quoted cheaper on any car, (dream car or realistic car) by anyone else.

Thats a bit of a rip off for a 1.2.

how much power it produce. if it is group 7, that is quite high for a 1.2.

my 1.9JTD Stilo is only group 5 and could wipe a 1.2 sporting to the floor as far as performance is concerned.

Insureance is just ridiculous

Stilo JTD and a Mk1 punto sporting would be pretty much neck and neck to 60.

Punto sporting has 85bhp

depends on the Stilo, the 150bhp JTD does 0-60 in 8 seconds, which beast the 102 of the Punto

the lesser 115 JTD does it in 10 dead, so still quicker

If you want my advice get yourself an active sport. There a lower insurance group (4 I Think) and will be cheaper to insure. I'm 17 like you and I pay £1800 fully comp on an 02 plate MK2 active sport. Make sure its an 8V and not a 16V though that makes a HUGE difference.

i tried uswitch.com for my mk2 sporting, cheapest i got was £1800 with endsleigh and they don't seem to mind mods, as long as you don't have over 5

Should Try C.S.I Insurance, Thats who Do mine found they were best after lookin for months.

considering in a 17year old MALE , driving just a standard 1.2 Punto

costs me around £1300* with my mum added onto the policy

well i did find insurance cheaper in the end, adrian flux, its £1800 with mods included but quite a bit more cos i pay monthly, think its like £2200ish.

im selling it now anyway, to get a punto jtd :slayer: no one ****ing wants the car tho lol, i think it must be cos of being just after xmas, no one has money.
