Hi well after a drive to cheddar yesterday for some climbing, the little beast started running like poo again checked the engine and it was way hot. Let it cool down whilst climbing for 4 hours and ran like poo again getting really hot on a 2 mile drive to another venue. If I disconnect the battery for a while it kind of resets the ecu and drives ok.
So now have to work out why its over heating. Drove to Bristol keeping the revs down fan permanently o. Heater on with the fan flat out, now the odd bit is that the heater only blew cold air? When I got to Bristol everything was really hot all the pipes except the lower pie from the water pump was not as hot and the middle and bottom of the rad were quite cool. Thinking it my have gotten blocked. Problem is, I'm at a friends in Bristol with no tools and a 67 mile journey home. Thinking of finding a halfords for a few tools and try flushing the system. Failinv that Iit may be recovery time.
