Hi, I'm a newbie to the Fiat world and wonder if anyone can advise.
I have a Punto Easy 2014 with dual climate control, my understanding is that when I select fast screen demist the fans should ramp up to full speed automatically, but mine don't, I have to adjust manually, is this a fault or just a setting I need to change somewhere?

Setting probably.

It seems to have several modes:

Side by side temp settings

Or one knob controls Both left and right

What about if you do it when the car is fully warmed up. Next time you take a long drive at the end when the engine is warm, set it to auto, then hit the screen demise button and see if it puts full fans on the windscreen.

Normally climate controlled won’t blow full power till there is some heat in the system, that is of course unless you manually override it like you have been doing. I have a feeling my Evo with the same climate control set up does the same but once warmed up it will work as expected. The fans would automatically ramp up to full power once some heat was in the system if you left it.

Also it doesn’t take that long if I remember correctly. On Saturday I was out and noticed the blowers suddenly come up to full power after about 1km (I know this as I run that route and it’s 1k from my house)

Dont use mine often.. but it does it on initial starts IIRC 'max defrost button'

Tested this on the way to pick up some amazon parcels and I can confirm you need to get a little warmth in the engine before it will put the fan speed up, was a little over 1km before it kicked in with full fan power and on the way back as the car was already warm it worked as I was driving out of the car park.

So in answer to the original question leave it and it will work when there is some warmth in the engine, probably to stop the car blowing freezing cold air on the windscreen.

I agree with the above. There's no problem here.

Also own an Punto Evo with CC, max fan doesn't ramp up until engine is warm.

Mines a 2012..and with 2 cylinders.

That's brilliant, thanks for the tips, I've tried leaving it and it does indeed speed up when there is a bit of heat.
