Hello folks,
First of; excuse my english as it is not my native language and feel free to correct me; it helps me out a lot.
I've got a problem with my Punto 188 facelift type from 2004.
It started out with the instrument cluster resetting itself every once in a while and has come down to the car sometimes not starting/not opening with remote control/all kind of failures.......
The problem seems to be in the bcm (it seems like it won't deliver the earth to some relais), but just now, I noticed that -when the problem is there- even the heater blower runs slow. This blower, doesn't go through the bcm......
It's a very, very long story and it is getting complicated.
I'm pretty good in looking up this kind of failures, but I don't have a proper wiring diagram. The one I have is from HGS data and this one isn't correct; pin numbers are wrong, wire colors are wrong and so on.
Also; I can't "see" what happens Inside the bcm (but most diagrams won't let you).
The failure is not always there, so measuring is hard.
I need to measure the right things at the right moment.
Is there someone who can provide me with a proper diagram? Mainly bcm related, but anything else is very nice too; you never know, right?
Let me elaborate some more on the matter; when the car had some sleep for a night, the doors won't open with RC. The display won't work, after ignition (15) the windows don't work, heater blower runs very slow and the car won't start; it goes round so it has enough power, but starts after a few times.
I hear relais (for example from the windows, that should have power when ignition is on) clicking. When the dash goes down again; the relais clicks and vice versa.
I looked at all connectors, earth points, opened the bcm (some old water trails in there, wiped it clean) and opened the relais box for the interior; all okay.
Trouble codes; none. Yes, when the power goes away in half the systems; there are some codes saying the power was down (extension "MEM").
So.......bcm? I thought, but heater motor doing strange things is not saying that.
I really need some good diagrams; please help me out if you can people?
It is very much appreciated!
