Hi Guys,

turns out my recent meeting with a pot hole meant my tracking was knocked out and had to have 2 new front tyres (Inner Edges down to the wire within 2 months!!!).

Had everything checked, replaced 2 front tyres and had tracking re-aligned.

Now under acceleration the car pulls to the right and when I let off she pulls back in the opposite direction?!

Anyone have any ideas?

Quite likely something is bent. Suspension arm, or track rod perhaps.
The pothole impact has bent something.
Adjusting the tracking is setting the wheels straight, but will not sort any bent component.
Get underneath.
Look very carefully at the track rods, they should be straight. Compare the two sides.
Repeat for the suspension arms, also checking the bushes for damage or coming apart.
Check their mounting points.

Bush or ball joint gone somewhere. Sounds like the left side.

Looks like they ripped me off for tyres too. Told me they would fit 2 'mid range tyres' they charged me £69 a tyre and turns out they are eurovis sport 04...never heard of them.

Tyre shops.... they often sell tat at a higher price....

A mid tange tyre is uniroyal, avon, cooper etc
Premium are continetal, perreli, michelin

I buy my own and get tyre shops to fit them

As for pilling 1 way and not next
Is it same when braking? Pulls and then doesn't
I suspect a knackered ballpoint/bush thats allowing an alteration in the alignment

Check subframe didnt get dislodged either

Its only under acceleration and when letting off the gas.

Yep, something's moving under load and overrun. Ball joint or mounting. Fix this first, and before it destroys any more tyres.

Tyre shop shouldnt do alignment without carrying out a suspension check for play/bent/failing parts
