Hi Does a 2004 1.2 have a none I nterfearence engine e.g. if the cam belt snaps no damage is done.

Yes safe engine in 2004

It's a safe engine and the cam belt is easy to change. The hardest job is removing the engine mount and getting the belt covers off the engine. Set the cam pulley to TDC and make sure the crank pulley is pointing at 10 o'clock to a mark on the crank case. The cam will go out by one tooth when you tension the belt so reset accordingly and try again.
Always change the water pump and tensioner.
