Okay - My 150,000 mile 1.3 Mjet on a 08 year has had intermittent glow plug warning light for a little while - bit a research and it is suggested that the Control Unit can be to blame and fail.

So - nice easy "2 spanner" replacement job according to Haynes manual - and cheap enough also. Unfortunately, the small black and white photo and the description that it is "on the left of the engine bay" is not helping me much.....

Either I had one to many beers last night or my powers of finding a small black box surrounded by black wires in a black engine are failing me....

Anyone done this job before and can help me find it? :bang:

This give you any clues? Seems it's inside a protection box somewhere.

Haynes are very fond of using images with no context so you have no clue what its supposed to be telling you.

I know on my old 09 500 multijet it was under the battery tray behind. A metal plate

I did mine on a GP.

Just a note its usually in front of the battery tray or around the battery on most early 1.3 multijets.

That said, failing glow plugs is far more common on this engine.

Took a while to find..
