Panda (Classic) My Sisley 4x4 project

Introduction

Thought I'd start a thread to introduce my new Sisley.
Most of you will know it from its previous life when Gavin (@palio) had it.
Not sure yet the extent I'll go on it but plenty of work to be done once I get going. It's tucked up safely in a garage over the road until I get the time to start the resto. Some pics for now
I'm so glad you saved it Jamie. (y)

Once Vernon had pronounced that it was saveable, I had to try to find someone to save it. :worship:

For those who don't know, it's been off the road for years. Despite this, and being under cover outside all winter, it's starting first time still and running quietly with very little choke needed. I don't get that on the Sisley which is used all the time!!

Good luck - lots of work needed but I know you have the skills to do it. :)

Well the Sisley has this morning moved on to a new home. He's going to a forum member who has the skills and knowledge to sort him out. He's going to be living on a farm that has a very steep slope so they want a car that can cope with it in all weather and still be able to pop down the shops in it. I'm glad he'll live on even if it's not with me!

Bye bye Sisley

Thanks for the message earlier Jamie - just realised I have the spare key & original service book for this still (you never did collect it :nono: ).

Can you make sure the new owner knows there are bits still here? (y)

I told him about the key but I dont recall any service book? That will be a bonus for him! Ironically he drove 3 hours to collect the Sisley and while we were talking he mentioned he had a spare mk2 door in red (which I need for my selecta) so I'm now going to be driving 3 hours up to him to pick the door up at some point :bang: I plan to pop by Chez Gavin on the way so I'll let you know when that day comes to make sure your in. Might be handy for the panda express so I'll post on there when I know the date of the trip

I don't think it's fantastic but it gives a bit of the early history. We decided not to post it at the time as it was too bulky & we didn't put it in the car when the refugees from "Wrong Turn" picked it up (in case they ate it!!). (y)

Where's it gone location wise?
