I recently recieved an email about a new petrol price protest.
The last one was a "Don't buy on certain days" The petrol companies just laughed. It didn't work.
This time it is suggested we boycott the two biggest companies, ESSO and BP. If we don't buy their fuels, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. Our target is down to the 69p range.
We can still buy fuel from the supermarkets, Texaco, Shell, etc, so it doesn't hurt us.
Pass this on to everyone you know and see how fast it happens!

Esso Actually do Cheaper Petrol then Sainbury's round my way.. and it lasts longer so I'm confused and can honestly say bug off tot he nectar points cause I get more value for money at Esso.

90.9p in my immediate area at both Esso and Sainburies.
87.9p 12 miles away in Enfield

I fill up everytime I watch a movie up there :)

It might be working then. If you resist buying Esso, the other local stations will drop their prices in line and Esso will have to undercut them in an effort to get some business for as long as they are being boycotted.

No they won't. In economics terms, it's a good with an inelastic price elasticity of demand.
The local stations won't drop their prices (as a direct result of the Esso boycott).

Yeah I dont buy from BP or anywhere other than Morrisons, which is the cheapest around here (Airdrie area) BP is 93.9p/l and morrisons is 89p, theyre all ripoffs.

Sarcasm mate ;)

For what its worth i'd be happy to participate in a mass demonstration against the fuel prices,I'm sick of being shafted for council tax, national insurance/income tax, endowments, bank charges etc etc......then again its the British way to take it lying down isn't it?

Writing letters don't help because they are dismissed, when you ask to speak to anyone they just won't.

Only way is to take whoever is pissing you off to court. but that involves a large wallet for court and lawer fees which most of the nation can't afford, and the ones that can don't care because they can afford to be ripped off.

which leave one way for the working class.

Physically stopping things like parking your car in front of the garage which would get you arrested.

Being aggressive and making a scene which would most likely get you arrested.

Terrorism which will most likely get you arrested but also with the best chance of not being caught.

Sad but this country is really startin to whiss me off.

But why is it the French dont take the s**t that we get hit with, they band together & make a stand.
We could block the ports in protest.............well not tonight as 'topgear' is on......and fridays definately out as 'still game' is on
