I've been a naughty girl Actually, not really as I was in the right but I could have just given in.........

I was driving down a street in Carlisle near the city centre, came up to a bit with a line of cars down the right and only space for one lot of traffic to get through. So cars being on right, I had right of way and carried on. Except a burly van driver coming the other way seemed to forget that and drove round the cars towards me. So I stopped in the middle of the road and instead of reversing all of ten feet to let him through, stayed put. For some time. Until he got out of the van and started having a go at me. Now normally I would just have moved back but it was well past teatime and I was in the right and determined to prove that van drivers WILL NOT intimidate car drivers So eventually he backed up halfway along the street, allowing me to drive though. I'm sure he'll be more respectful of the rules of the road in future
