After carefully planning my stereo swap ordering the correct bits .... I’ve come across a snag!

I have a blue & me usb socket retention lead and I have no clue where it goes!!!!!

I thought [emoji189] it would just plug in ... being a specialist lead ... but it does not!

Not sure if anyone can help?? I’m right in the middle of the installation but right now without more info I’m stuck!!

Ok I “think” I’ve been sent the Alfa lead!! Seller is clueless so had to order the correct lead from another seller [emoji36] the good news is my pioneer touch screen Apple play is in my steering wheel controls work! The mic has been swapped and it all works great!

Just the rear bumper camera to sort as in only getting the guide lines on my display but no picture
I always get there in the end ... but it’s usually the long way round ?

Update: the above lead is to be attached to the blue & me module! (Some instructions would have been nice)! But I suppose that’s why they have online support

I’ll be fitting this later let’s hope it works!

Does the new unit not have it built in negating the need for the old Blue and me?

It’s just a patch lead John enables me to use the usb in the centre console it only works as a charger now I have to install a “factory “ looking USB port elsewhere for the car play ...

Ok so I’ve now decided to scrap the factory usb for power only I’m now putting in my own USB port using the existing factory port poxy & a female usb lead so I can use it for car play

These are useful for charging cost about £5

I installed one of those as I took out the ciggy lighter.. that’s why I didn’t need another usb charger[emoji23] but thank you for your input John [emoji106][emoji108]

all done!! I now have apple CarPlay my factory USB port is now linked to my stereo the mic is hidden in the original housing

Steering wheel controls work with new head unit
And my reverse camera works as soon as I hit reverse

It’s taken two days a few detours but I’m really happy with myself ?? and the whole installation looks “factory “
Anything less seemed like a waste of time

It’s SPH-DA130DAB it’s very good to say it’s in the mid range price point!
