Thanx to something I read on a post on here. I have just found out tonight my 500 has the follow me home feature, well chuffed. [emoji12]

Never used ours, though I have tried it to see how it works. We don't need it.

What I want to do, is have the sidelights on with the engine running.
Can it be done?

There are many occasions when I would like to switch down to sidelights, two of which come to mind are:

Pull over whilst Mrs Mick F gets out or pops into a shop.
Being at the head of the queue at the traffic lights in the village (headlights dazzle the oncoming cars as they are coming up the hill).

All my other cars have been able to have the sidelights on with engine running.

TTFN
Mick.

I could not agree more! But then I don't sit in a queue of traffic dazzling the poor hapless souls behind me by sitting with my foot on the brake pedal. The idea of dropping your headlights off when in a stationary queue seemed to die with my Dad. So its buckets of respect for you here.

No, because the 500 doesn't have sidelights, it has DRL's instead. The difference with DRL's is that you don't get to have the rear lights on as well.

The 169 Panda has proper sidelights - another of the many ways in which it's actually a more useable car.

Erm switch the engine off and pull the flash function of the headlamps?

Tbf it's not useful unless you park directly infront of your own front door facing it.
