im not racist i just think they are the only ones who have an immigration policy that might actually work.

also notice the sarcasm face.

edit: also if i was racist i would move to alabama carry a noose and rifle and wear a white sheet.

You realise how hard it will be for most of the country to prove their family tree back to the Doomsday Book? (I think its that one you'd have to prove back to to stay according to the BNP)

aye i do my origins lie in Ireland, Scotland, England, Scandinavia and Germany. (my mas cousin traced the family tree and from what i can remember was as far back as the saxons)

:eek:i had never actually seen that so thanks for that.torries for the win then

i take it you mean thatcher?

or john major?

she ****ed up what exactly?

and he ****ed up what?

bloody miles better than blair or brown.

another thing is notice how as a country we are going the americans they vote bush in complain how crap he is and vote him in again. we did exactly the same with blair.

Carl, no disrespect but a moment ago you wanted to vote in the BNP without realising they were racist so it doesn't sound as if you have much knowledge of past politics or political parties.

You also ask us to tell you what Thatcher/ Major ****ed up yet you then go on to say they were miles better than Blair or Brown? Perhaps YOU could elaborate as to why that is the case?

Thatcher did some good during her term, but she was so deeply unpopular by the end of the 80's she was forced out of office by her own party. Both her policies and John Major's handling of the economy (he was chancellor of the exchequer from 1989 - 1991) led to the collapse of the UK economy, the withdrawal from the single European Currency and the recession of the early 1990's. Look at my earlier post in this thread where I mentioned what it was like living under the Tories in the 1990's as obviously you're far too young to remember.

On the flip side, the Labour party of the late 70's was also a complete shambles and it wasn't until the party turned itself around in the late 80's/ early 90's that it became worthy of being elected again. Since 1997 the Tories have suffered much the same fate as being a party of shambolic reputation with outdated policies. If they'd put Kenneth Clarke in as leader I'd probably vote for them, but they didn't. Until Cameron came along they had neither the policies nor a charismatic leader. Even so I'm not sure that Cameron has what is needed to knock Labour off their perch.

Politics is ugly, but ignorance and prejudice are more so...

brown and blair ****ed up by:

  • creating laws that can/could not be enforced
  • they wasted money on creating unnecessary jobs eg in the nhs
  • we had to learn of tax increases etc after they had happened
  • actually doing anything that bush suggested
thats just a few without actually thinking.

oh and if by thatcher ****ing up you mean closing the mines my family are/were miners my great grandad died from pneumonia through mining.

also note that im not of legal voting age anyway so as far as the parties are concerned noone gives a **** what i think anyway.

To be honest i agree with carl about the BnP. (I havent read the topic yet i just saw BNP posted)

In all seriousness if they were not racist, i would vote for them.

Questions to clarify your statements:

1. What laws were created that couldn't be enforced?
2. What unnecessary jobs were created in the NHS?
3. What tax increases didn't you learn about until after they happend?
4. What did Bush suggest us to do (other than Iraq)?

And post any links to support these statements please. :)

They base the majority of their manifesto on racism so why else would you vote for them?

Not replying to all of them but:

1) actively enforced here in Cheadle and in practically all of Leicstershire.
2) Can't answer
3) The budget has clearly stated any changes consistantly and accurately for at least the past 10 years!
4) No real comment here

The millenium Dome was a Conservative operation.

1. Right, so drivers are fined for breaking the speed limit and then they do it again. Serial shoplifters continue to offend despite being previously prosecuted. Does that mean those laws also aren't being enforced? As for ASBOs, most are enforced by local councils and Police. However, unless someone is seen to be breaking their ASBO how else can it be enforced?

2. You can't remember the NHS jobs? Was it that insignificant?

3. Tobacco tax going up - pay more attention to the yearly budget by the chancellor!

4. Afghanistan - this has been going on WAY before Bush jr. AND Bush snr. were in power and involved the Tory party before it involved Labour. And was it was ok for Thatcher to wage war on Iran? Also Go look up the Iraqi "supergun" affair to see the scandals involved with the Tories back then.

edit: for got to mention some other blair/brown era **** ups

millenium dome - It's now called the O2 arena and succefully holds events/ concerts.

id cards - Still at the proposal stage.

nhs it system - What's the problem with it?

multiple reported loss of data through cds laptops - That's down to government agencies/ departments not the government themselves. These are the same agencies/ departments that will operate whichever political party is in power.
